NaNoWriMo: Day 2

Status: 19,369 / 50,000

What’s the title of your story? Why did you choose it?

Taken from something posted on one of the NaNo forums, a 30 day, NaNo, blogging challenge. That’s the question for day two, so I figured, why not?

Okay, since it’s a series the title for this NaNo plays off the title for last year’s NaNo. It took me months to come up with one for last year’s NaNo, and I didn’t actually have it until June. Luckily, I have a title for this one, now. And some covers ^_^

That was last year’s story. Life Changes. Basically, it was James’ first year, after moving to Vermont, and all the changes that entailed. Ahem, the synopsis from last year’s NaNo:
Change is in the air—again.
After finally settling down with his Mum and Dad in Cambridge, all James wants, is for things to stay the same for a while. He’s tired of the changes, the moving.
He got his wish—for a while.
Just two years after settling down, his parents pack up their things and make a transcontinental move. To Vermont. For James, it means all kinds of changes. Strangers, a new county, school for the first time in years, and the gaining of the one thing he hasn’t ever really had.
Friends.
So the biggest change for him yet, was moving.

This year’s story. Life’s Surprises. His second year in Vermont, the exciting adventure over the summer, and eventually going back to the same school, for high school. I’m not quite sure what all is going to happen, but it’s definitely going to be exciting, and heh, surprising for James.

Back to writing and school...
